Silliness of Romantic Infatuation

Something along the theme of the ridiculousness of infatuation… to the tune of Bottom and Tatiana in Midsummer Night’s Dream. I just can’t help but smile when I think of a guy head-over-heals for the oblivious, crazy, smelly street lady. It need not be only farsical; maybe it could actually have a redemptive end, where he helps her get medical help or something!

Funny! Sounds a bit like an inversion of the Shallow Hal concept (I never saw it), and like you say, some variation on the love between Titania and Bottom. The trouble will be coming up with a great REASON. Why does this guy, among all guys, suddenly (I presume) see this bag lady in a completely new way? We could throw out some kind of medical reason (rip it from HOUSE), or supernatural (a la MIDSUMMER’S), or just drop Morgan Freeman in for a minute. That seems to do the trick.
A really good idea, bro. We should make a coffee-and-cigarettes style short film to showcase for ourselves, using skits like your idea here. We could submit it to festivals and send it to agencies, get repped. That would be a good start.
